Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, and also a UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career with a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia started her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko started career-long MMA career in 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning in the second round TKO. Her next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing after which she took a lengthy absence from MMA. She was back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa via unanimous decision and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her debut fight. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
